As if the drama has not attain enough publicity with its leng chai leng lui cast, 8TV have to arrange for the main actor Wu Zun and supporting actor Tang Yu Zhe (Minami Nanba) to drop by for a promo appearance in Times Square on 26/5/2007.
While I, myself are not really crazy over Wu Zun, the cow and the frog is total NUTS over it. NUTS I tell you. The lengths they go to dig up his news..... its like they never see a Bruneian before. Anyway, the Cow is going on a day tour with some teacher's annual outing and unable to see her Zun Zun so she ask me to go and see her Zun Zun and take photo. So Pig being kind hearted agree to go and take photo and even borrowed the Dog's SLR camera with his new RM700++ powerful zoom lense.
The promo is due to start at 3pm. Piggy reach 1pm and the condition is...
When its 3pm...the crowd is unbelievable. Where am I? Stuck somewhere with tons of SYT and and bishonnen-wannabe trying to peer between to see if the Stars have arrive. Its a total overdose of SYT in a day.. I feel like puking. Too much of something is really no good.The things I do in the name of friendship.....
And then some one shouted, the crowd surge forward, stampeding anything and everything. I poke poke my camera up and took a lucky shot.
Cheh I thought who. It the DJ. Also cannot hear what he said from where I am standing. Dunno who's bright idea it is to host the event at the front entrance of Times Square as if the entrance is not pack enough. They have to put a low stage there and stuck 2 leng chai there. *shake head*
Anyway the 2 buggers only made the appearance at around 4.45pm. Lucky I only started standing around 3pm. Imagine those who came around 1pm. After that the crowd is generally uncontrollable. The organizing committee shut off the main glass door in order to prevent a riot. So I basically can't hear what the fruit they are singing and laughing about.
Being the ingenious me I saw an opportunity at the balcony on the first floor. Might just able to take a couple of shots with CK's SLR. So Froggie and me went up first floor. By that time its already autograph session. But still manage to get a couple of good shots. The best I can do for the Cow who is frolicking in some paddy field in Kuala Selangor at that time. The length I go for a friend....
If you buy the drama ( original) you get to go on stage, greet them, shake their hand and get an autograph! Too bad I can't go.. got some copy right issues with my current copy..ahem..
I tell you, its definately hard to take a clear shot of them. Notice the guy on in blue shirt on the right side. He keep standing in the middle and blocking the whole thing. This is the best clear shot I got of them. ( curtesy of Tapir)
Tang Yu Zhe's clear shot is so much easier to get. Wu Zun is always swarmed by press and fans..aiya...
However Tang Yue Zhe is quite cool. Hardly ever smile. I am surprise, I caught this shot. If he smile he looks better than Wu Zun.
I find Wu Zun look a bit foxy. He don't quite open his mouth fully when he smile so that makes him look a bit fake to me. BUT..there is a reason for that according to froggie who is the Super Wu Zun fan. Apparently the poor fella dislocated his jaw one day while vomitting due to gluttony. So he don't dare to do anything excessive with his mouth from then onwards. One wonder how he ate Big Mac.. Anyway I terpesong... While the 2 fella busy signing their fingers off, the fans are still snapping pictures..
I dunno why they cannot stop taking pictures. They are just the same. Maybe Wu Zun looks sexy signing autographs. Anyway I didn't hang around to wait until he finished his autographs. The queue looks never ending...maybe longer than the Smart tunnel. Who knows..definately not me.
